Life Left the world of cubicles to start my own creative design agency. An expecting father with the best wife ever. Typically found working in the backyard with my dogs and a cigar... and possibly a pint.
Life is good.

Friday, September 5, 2008 at 08:05PM Trying to watch a movie and a 4.2 earthquake cracked through and knocked a picture off the wall... The dogs did NOT enjoy it either.

Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 03:32PM Just got back from the distributor and came home with two fresh kegs. They still can't get anything from Russian River Brewing but I was able to grab a couple 22oz bottle of Pliny the Elder. I plan to enjoy those during this Sunday's Eagles game =)
As for the kegs, I picked up more Firestone Walker

The Pale 31 is a nice summer beer. Great, fresh hops aromas and crisp clean flavors; good for those hot summer days. The Union Jack is their IPA which rocks socks... Can't get enough of this stuff =)
Come one, come all - the bar is open!

Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 08:40PM At Jen's office in the city, a brochure was left on their front door that I have to share for a few reasons:
1) The reference to super heroes is great
2) The drawing aren't half bad
3) The twist at the ending is quite unexpected
So good people, I give you: The Problem with Super Heroes (~4mb)

It's with a heavy heart, I say that our Simon has passed on to greener, cat-nip-filled pastures. Simon was struggling with kidney failure, hyper-thyroid and seizures. Considering he was found as a kitten in the parking lot of a Kinder Care in Pennsylvania, he lived a incredible life.
Because his ailments were taking the best from him, Jen and I decided enough was enough and that seeing him that uncomfortable wasn't right. We took him to the vet who administered the euthanasia needle after a sedative so he would pass in his sleep. The process was very quick which tells me he was barely hanging in there with us.
Simon is sorely missed in this house.
Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 12:13PM For those non-family member who read this blog, I thought I'd share.
My cousins who live in Potomac, MD are dealing with the tragedy of witnessing their house burn down. Their family dog ended up being the hero, alerting them to the fire before the smoke alarms went off. Everyone is safe but they're now faced with harsh reality of rebuilding their lives brick by brick.
There's video or of the fire and scenes of the aftermath here:
